High School Study Programs Ekamai International School follows a modified American California State Curriculum in accordance with the Seventh-day Adventist Christian philosophy and includes the Eight Groups of Learning Substances by the Ministry of Education: 21 = Thai Language & Culture 22 = Math 23 = Science 24 = Religion & Social 25 = Health/Physical Education 26 = Arts 27 = Business & Technology 28 = English & Foreign Languages Graduation Requirements All graduating students must take the IELTS exam in Grade 11 as it is offered in school. Any student who does not meet the required IELTS score according to the diploma will retake the IELTS exam (Academic IELTS/IELTS UKVI) and submit the passing score by September of the senior year.Students must score 6.5 or higher on the IELTS for a College Preparatory Diploma. Students must score 6.0 or higher on the IELTS for a General Education Diploma.A student must have accumulated 28 credits or more to complete a four- year high school program.Ekamai International School offers the following diploma options in High School:

The Advanced Placement (AP) Program, administered by the College Board, a nonprofit organization in the United States, enables high school students to undertake college-level coursework and examinations while still in secondary school. The program offers 38 subjects across a broad range of disciplines, including mathematics, science, history, English, social sciences, world languages, and the arts. AP examinations are standardized assessments administered annually in May and are scored on a scale of 1 to 5. Many colleges and universities recognize AP scores for college credit, advanced placement, or both. While policies vary by institution, a score of 3 or higher is commonly considered eligible for credit or placement. Beyond the opportunity to earn college credit, participation in the AP Program offers significant academic and financial advantages. Students who achieve qualifying scores may reduce future tuition costs and, in some cases, earn enough credits to graduate early. AP coursework also demonstrates academic rigor, intellectual curiosity, and a willingness to challenge oneself, strengthening university applications. Many high schools award weighted GPA points for AP courses, further enhancing a student's academic profile. Most importantly, AP courses mirror the pace and expectations of introductory college classes, helping students develop essential skills such as critical thinking, analytical writing, effective study habits, and time management—skills that prepare them for success in higher education. Ekamai International School also serves as an AP testing center for external candidates, including homeschooled and self-study students. Please note that only the subjects listed above are available for external registration. Important Dates November 13, 2026 – Final deadline to order AP Exams (11:59 p.m. ET). Orders submitted after this deadline will incur a late fee of 1,500 Baht.March 12, 2027 – Final deadline to order AP Exams with the applicable late fee (11:59 p.m. ET).May 3–7, 2027 – Week 1 of AP Exam administration.May 10–14, 2027 – Week 2 of AP Exam administration.May 17–20, 2027 – Late-testing AP Exam administration. For additional information regarding AP courses, registration procedures, exam policies, and testing regulations, students are encouraged to refer to the AP Handbook.
