On September 28, 2020, the students of Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten One of Ekamai International School paraded with their beautiful costumes portraying different characters from animals, fiction, and non-fiction stories, personalities, and characters as it was the Book Character Day.
Our little ones wearing their favorite book characters, attentively listening to the stories, and stay with their reading buddies together with their homeroom teachers, assistants, and nannies coordinated by the Learning Resources Department under the headship of Mrs. Mylene Mae Palmes.
Making the event meaningful, visiting the library by class was arranged. The students of each class happily witnessed the story prepared by our librarians and staff dressed up in different man-sized animal costumes.
“We are continually finding ways where students can engage with our vast resources available in two of our libraries. Book Character Day is one of our initiatives to entice our students to fall in love once again with books. We encourage all to visit our libraries as there is undoubtedly something for you waiting. It could be a story book, reference, magazine, journal, picture books, and many exciting materials,” Ms. Mylene shared.
“We look forward to seeing and serving you at our Primary and Elementary School Library as well as the Middle School and High School Library,” she ends with an invitation to students, staff, and teachers.
It was a fun-filled happiness experience for the little boys and girls. May these students will continue their love of reading.
