Ekamai International School comes together annually to celebrate God’s graciousness and momentarily cease service to fellowship with other family members. This yearly gathering fosters an attitude of gratitude and honors the giver and sustainer of all things good, which is our heavenly Father.
This year the Thanksgiving Celebration was held at the covered court on December 2, 2020, with the theme “The Gift of Community.” It opened with praise and performances from the Thai Violin Ensemble and song service by the Intensive English Language (IEL) teachers.
“This afternoon, we would like to recognize God’s goodness, guidance, and protection as we go through a quite challenging school year because of the pandemic. I thank each one of you gathered here for your hard work and services offered to Ekamai International School. As a family, let us overcome this pandemic together with the help of God”, School Director Prajack said in his welcome remarks.
An engaging table activity followed after that that encouraged everyone to spend one or two minutes sharing the blessed moment that they experienced in the EIS community over the past year. They were further asked to take turns in sharing some words of compliment and prayers to the participants in their small group. It opened a plethora of memories and sheer smiles as each entered into an atmosphere of gratitude. Pastor Karlo Diel of the Bangkok International Church of Seventh-day Adventist sealed the thanksgiving air with a special prayer.
The celebration ended with Ajarn Danai Agartsupa’s closing prayer. Each one went home beaming with joy, knowing that they are valued not just by Ekamai International School but by Someone whose life has been sacrificed for their salvation and sin.
