The Middle School Department of Ekamai International School, under the leadership of their principal, Ms. Marijo Escueta, conducted a VEX IQ Robotics Seminar and Workshop on May 15, 2026, as part of its preparation for an exciting new summer camp offering.
The training brought together a team of ten Middle School teachers who will serve as facilitators for the upcoming summer program. Through hands-on activities and guided instruction from the VEX IQ Representative Naomi Rothwell, the teachers gained valuable knowledge and experience in robotics education, equipping them to lead students in engaging and meaningful learning experiences.
This summer marks a significant milestone for the Middle School Department as it launches Middle School Summer Camp 2026 which includes the first-ever Robotics Program. The initiative reflects the school’s commitment to expanding learning opportunities and introducing students to the rapidly evolving world of technology.
In addition to robotics, the summer camp will feature a variety of enriching activities focused on science explorations, team building, life skills development, and sports. These programs are designed to provide students with a well-rounded experience that encourages creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and personal growth.
Through this new venture, the Middle School Department hopes to inspire students to explore modern technology while developing skills that will prepare them for the future. The department looks forward to welcoming students to a summer filled with discovery, innovation, and fun.
