Most of the parents and teachers are gearing towards the road to healthy meals. Ekamai International School and its management are in one way or another in providing the best palatable food in the campus. Not sold out to many, but our food service department always cook palatable menus for anyone. Have you missed our food, snacks and beverages?
Over the years, you may hear someone said, “the food is oily”, “why so salty?” and many more. Our staff try to balance each of our concerns and it is important for us to pass the quality food assurance that the government has to require. Alas! We did!
The Bangkok Post published on October 20, 2020 that Thai parents have voiced concerns both online and offline over the quality and quantity of food served to their children during school lunch. Would you agree? Based on the online survey we had with Grade 9 students in November 2021, majority is missing the beef noodles served in our cafeteria, followed by chicken noodles, then khao soy in our noodle booth. For other options, more than half of the respondents ranked fried chicken first, with chicken curry and beef curry as second and third respectively.
The students who joined the survey were majority boys. One student commented, “I’m not sure if there’s going to be some new food in the new cafeteria, but I think I’ll probably go for one of the rice and fried chicken or maybe friend fish, since it’s one of my favorite menus there.” During the school opening, many of the students would try the famous lemonade. With the 4% of the students voted no, 36% said maybe, 60% of our freshmen were excited to see and dine in the new school cafeteria.
The new building has been in construction for over a year, so I’m really looking forward to seeing both the new building and the cafeteria. It has never been changed for a long time, so I really want to see what adjustments have been made. Thanks for the past services, one student shared.
