EIS BIG SABBATH: A NEW YEAR BLESSING

By : Chalim Wongwirat, ES & MS Chaplain

In response to the Seventh-day Adventist world church’s “I Will Go” evangelistic efforts,
Ekamai International School hosted its very first-ever unified Sabbath worship and
fellowship with five other Adventist Christian schools in Bangkok, namely: Adventist
Ekamai School, Bangkok Adventist International School, Ramkamhaeng Advent
International School, NIVA American School, and Trinity International School on
February 3, 2024, at the EIS Covered Court.

It was a meaningful gathering of educators, students, and friends who came to
celebrate “A New Year Blessing.” the theme of the Sabbath worship.

Dr. Khamsay Phetchareun, Global Mission Director of the General Conference of
Seventh-day Adventists, shared a challenge and call to witness for Christ, citing that the
harvest is full, but the workers are few. His message centered on serving only the Lord;
a threefold blessing is assured afterward. Dr. Khamsay also conveyed the history of
Adventism in Thailand and the vital role of education ministry in spreading the gospel.
He encouraged everyone to prayerfully consider the honor, joy, and blessings that come
from serving God,

Each school invited to the worship actively offered God hymns and testimony of His goodness,
grace, and love. It was a joyous and spirit-filled fellowship, leaving everyone grateful to God and
Ekamai International School for initiating such a momentous milestone.
