MEET AND GREET

Ekamai International School was delighted to welcome the very excited and enthusiastic parents during the Meet and Greet session last August 30-31 and September 1, 2023. Seeing so many parents show up and new friendships and connections formed was wonderful. It opened with grades 3 to 12 on the first day, grades 1 and 2 on the second day, and pre-kindergarten and kindergartens 1 to 3 on the last day.

Every school year, EIS schedules a day for parents to come and meet their child’s classroom and subject teachers. This is an opportunity for the teachers to meet the parents and present their teaching methods, management, and grading policies. The five to ten minutes meeting up is not enough, especially for the new teachers who have not done this event before. It was also a challenge because some parents raised different issues regarding their child’s learning, curriculum, and safety.

Miss Spinicah Mochache, the new G4E teacher, shared that she is honored to experience the meet and greet for the first time in EIS. According to her, she was in a panic mode while preparing what to and how to present to the all-eyed parents. She was relieved and thankful that during the visit, the parents were kind, patient, understanding, and ready to support the teachers to have their children improve academically. Furthermore, she would like to acknowledge the team effort of her fellow G4 teachers for being helpful in the whole preparation.

Thank God for the wisdom, strength, and good health He has provided to everyone involved in preparing and administering this event—hats off to our hardworking teachers and ever-supportive parents.
