EIS RANKED FIRST IN MFA INTER-SCHOOL DEBATE 2021
By Phuwadej Temkijrungrueng
The Ekamai International School Debate Club is proud to present our two novice teams who have recently ranked 1st and 3rd in the Novice Bracket of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) Inter-
School Debate Competition on September 4 to 5, 2021.
Our two novice teams, EIS Team Trinity and Jalapeno, also ranked 6th and 10th respectively in the Opens Bracket of twenty-two teams from fourteen different learning institutions. We are proud to have qualified for the Opens Quarterfinals as well as the Novice Semifinals.
Furthermore, this accomplishment has been successfully achieved despite the absence of a coach and an adjudicator who usually trained and provide relevant support to the competing team.
All this is thanks to our dedicated Members: Kati, Matina, Watsa, Pimvalan (Pim), Nano, and Thammathorn (Fong). Among them, Fong was awarded Overall Best Novice Speaker, Nano was awarded 3rd Best Novice Speaker, and Pim was awarded 4th Best Novice Speaker.
our EIS Debate Club is recruiting new members to train into future debate champions as well as anyone who may have experience Coaching or adjudicating debate. We encourage EIS students of grade eight and above to join our club. Trust us, it is not as intimidating as it seems, and you will have a say over when you are ready for your first championship.
Special thanks go to Peerawat Leekaosoong (our former Club President), who gave all his time and effort in training our members. We could not have done it without your support.
